Did you know that in 1960 the Democratic Republic of Congo had the same level of development as Canada? Today, the one is in the PPTE*, the other is in the G8. Look where dictatorship leads us.
Dear cousins from Chad. We need female slammers for the international festival of slam ‘N’Djam s’enflamme en Slam’ that will take place in N’Djaména from the 18th to the 26th of March 2016. A ‘Slam and Eve’ evening will increase the prestige of female slam poetry in the country of Toumaï [lit. ‘hope of life’, the name given to the skull of an extinct homininae species discovered in Chad] and abroad.
When you are facing an oppressor, the struggle is not easy, but it is at least balanced. But it is when even the oppressed turns against you that you are really in danger. The bullets that come from your camp are more difficult to block because they hit you in your back or your side, while your shield is in front of you, facing the one that you thought was your real enemy. Doubt insinuates itself inside you, and every day when you wake up you wonder on which front you have to fight. Do you have to leave everything behind, to accept enduring the profound silence of fatalism? I would like you to hold flowers and say that life is rosy, but nature makes you collect them with a bleeding heart. You are scared. There is only one word that can describe what I am currently living: DISCOURAGEMENT. One day history will decide to talk, and it will not be amnesic …
Six years ago I suffered the terrible and unfair decision of the board to suspend me and my friends from university for a period of two years. Today I have grown up: I have become a medical doctor after all of these difficulties, but this pain is still alive. I cannot forget. I just think that an injustice without reparation does not deserve to be forgiven. [16th of August 2015]
Europe has plundered Africa, is still plundering it, and will go on for a long time—this is true. But Europe is not the one that cuts our electricity services, that diverts the funds for development, that puts journalists in jail, that accumulates back salaries, that tortures children in police stations, that approves oppressive laws, that prevents our airlines from taking off, that lowers the quality of schooling, that condemns young qualified people to unemployment, that makes our athletes compete in the World Cup without any subsidy, etc. (you can complete the list yourself)
Where there’s a will, there’s a way … If we battled corruption with the same fierce determination as we are using against Boko Haram, we would not be abolishing subsidies … This would mean: to have a free phone number for denouncing a corrupt person, to call on the population to be vigilant and ask them to denounce corrupt neighbours, and, finally, to appeal to the prosecutor for an express sentencing.
President Déby started a rebellion with the aim of establishing a democracy in Chad. And a multi-party system is part of this democracy. And a multi-party system means an opposition and changes of president. This means that Déby overthrew Habré for allowing the existence of an opposition in Chad. Unfortunately, there is still a handful of idiots that think being in the opposition means being an enemy of Chad.
The doctor in me says that wearing a helmet is important for a moto driver. But I have to say that the measures for imposing it create more victims than driving accidents. Condolences to all those poor grieving families.
Peace to your soul Daouda, a young student that has lost his life because of the blunders of the police in Chad. We are shocked, and this is unacceptable. In the video attached, we have the proofs of it. The devil wears a uniform and is called OUR NATIONAL POLICE (very recognizable here). This video is the visible tip of the iceberg, the illustration of a lack of professionalism and a lack of humanity in the cavalier behaviour of the forces of power. We are going to shed more tears for sure! TEARS. IN GOD WE TRUST
Thinking about those young people tortured by Chadian police. This is what has been filmed. But just try to imagine how many suffered the same treatment without images to prove it. Just imagine that it is your son, your brother; just imagine that it is you.
So happy to finally have the e-ultrasound, one of the strongest links in the chain of Dawa Mobile-Health, the solution for the future of medicine in Africa. A solution for giving hope to remote areas so that a woman from Gouin or Zouar can receive a prenatal consultation just like a woman from Amsterdam or Paris. Hope is allowed.
Since I left, Chad has regressed a lot. I will return to raise its level a bit. Because it is with stupefaction that I learned that we are now fourth in the league of alcohol consumption [source unknown]. What sad news! How come we have let ourselves get screwed like this? We are even behind countries of milk drinkers like Mali… Shit!!! What happened? It is this bar in the photograph, paid for by our competitors. It was forced upon us. [9th of June 2016]

The Internet connection has been cut, preventing the population from having Internet access. This practice of mobile telephony operators really must end before a revolutionary action is launched against these private companies. Our radio and our television have been confiscated by the regime. There is no question of you siding with those who are killing us and preventing us from defending our rights as citizens.
